Even though the shipping took a little longer than expected but that was probably just me being impatient. The kit came and I wasn't disappointed. Comes with everything you need to get started. Good packing. Everything was in working order. No jars were broken. I already have mycelium growing and waiting for the fruiting stage. Everything going smoothly so far. I did replace the temp/humidity monitor with one that blue tooths to my phone instead. The one the kit comes with works perfectly fine but I have a small closet grow tent and having the temps go to my phone is just much easier than opening and closing the closet every time I wanna check the temps. I'm a noob so there is definitely a lot of temp checking, lmao.. I just ran the heat pad control to the outside so I can change it if needed without disturbing the jars. It's my first time so I'm probably being overly cautious. But yeah, If you are looking to start out growing mushrooms this kit is definitely worth it. This will get you on the fast track of understanding all the processes and it's very easy. Will be buying from them again. If I had to give a con, it was the little cheap push light. it didn't work. But you don't really need it anyway honestly.
Purchased this kit on a whim and it's definitely got everything you need. Although it's my first time attempting to grow mushrooms, I feel fairly confident it'll work out alright because it seems that just about all variables are taken into consideration when they made this kit. This is highly recommended for anyone looking to start growing their own mushrooms. As well, when my kit was shipped the handle on the plastic tub broke and after just one email Midwest shipped me out another one no problem. So yeah, customer service is great too! I have zero complaints with this purchase and will definitely consider them for any upcoming purchases.
