I am a first time grower and am pleased to say that I followed the directions sent my kit and have successfully grown shrooms! It has been so convenient to have all the materials I needed. They have so many resources through their website to utilize. I was hesitant to buy a kit versus all the various components. It all works well. Their detailed Kit Setup and Growing Guide instruction materials include pictures illustrating exactly how to set everything up, and walk you through each phase of the process. I suggest you order an additional timer if you do not already have one. The kit includes one to use for humidification. I used another one to turn the grow light off and on. I found that I needed to adapt some of the settings within the ranges they suggest. I used a lengthier time in the dark and lesser time with humidifier, my environment already has a lot of humidity. Spring this year has had a lot of fluctuations in temperature. I put my setup in an bathroom that is rarely used and put a small electric heater in it and kept the door closed. The AC/heat pump for that part of the house has an electronic thermostat and it was much easier to just keep the door closed to control the temperature in a small room versus the entire area.
The system came very well packaged with no defects. The instructions were clear and understandable. I hope to use Midwest again in the future.
I purchased the Mega Grow kit on a Friday morning and my package came Monday, really fast shipping. I inoculated my jars and with in 5 days they started colonizing just like they said... Everything is as advertised thus far. I will have to hold off on the rest, I haven't got there yet but so far I'm liking what I'm seeing. These guys know what there talking about... I’ve been raising Shrooms for years and I’ve never had any luck until I used these substrate jars. I get the kit to give as a gift. Young growers are going to be important. Highly recommend!!!
Orderd spores and i am now going through the Inoculation process now. I have been through a few different kits but this o e Co.es well packaged and with materials and tools. Will update once I get through the first flush.
