First, I received my kit a couple days earlier than I had expected. Second, everything was included, but...the main tub was broken. So I emailed customer service and I received a reply well within 24 hours with the assurance that I would be sent a new one. Sure enough, a couple of days later a new one arrived! Customer service folks were really nice and polite and made sure that everything was made cool. The video on how to make sure that things are done correctly is excellent and now 10 days into my project things have worked out great. With so many companies out there I was taking a chance by going with Mid West and I am glad that I did. I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

I am happy to report that I have had a very positive experience with this kit. Everything needed to grow spores into a healthy, full grown mushrooms is included, the instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the price is very reasonable for what you get. It has been so much fun watching my grow at every step of the process, and I would gladly recommend this kit to anyone looking to jump into growing mushrooms as a new hobby. First time grower and using the kit made it easy with low stress then a DIY set up. The grow was successful with 0 contamination following the grow guide. I highly recommend the kit, it could save you time and money lowering the risk of contamination and low yields due to DIY setups.

Before buying this kit, I helped a friend build his own and tried growing. Assisted throughout the entire process and although we took all of the necessary "steps" he had no yield.
