I bought the deluxe kit. It was a sad frustrating maybe 5 poor little shroom. I followed instructions to a T nothing. Only 8 jars colonized So stupid me buys a second deluxe and gave it to a friend that can and does grow anything. Not even 1 of his jars colonized. After waiting over 2 months he inoculated them with his own spores everything turned to moldy. Over$ 200.00 not enough for one dose . So disappointed in Midwest. Why do I get surprised when I step right in it? Twice even.

This kit is great! My first time cultivating mushrooms has been easy with instructions they gave me. The jars are very easy to use and sterile. I will be ordering more jars and possible a 2nd kit when I have more space!

Received my kit 3 weeks ago and wanted to post my initial review. I like the kit, good amount of stuff for the price I paid. I was going to do this myself but I priced it out and I probabaly would have only saved a few dollars buying all this stuff. Pros: -Easy to setup. Great instructions -Good value -Jars are almost 100% colonized- work good -200w heater is very powerful -Great size for closet or tight space Cons: -The thermometer was hard to figure out how to adjust to Fahrenheit. (Hidden Black button on back underneath the stand) -Dont need the LED light really. Just the Florescent plug in one. -Smart Post Free shipping took 8 days. Kinda slow. Use Fedex ground next time

I will continue to buy from Midwest. Jars colonized with great success and they include excellent instructions too! Many years apart in between my purchases and both times were very pleasant!
