This was my first time at this and I couldn't be happier at the results. Everything worked as it was supposed to. I'd like to give a tip on how I made the top of the fruiting chamber transparent to let light in during fruiting. I measured out a 12"x8" rectangle on the lid and it cut easily with a utility knife. Then I took a 2 gal. Zip lock freezer bag and cut all four sides to fit the hole with about a half inch hanging over the sides of the hole.i flipped the lid over and used black gorilla tape to tape the plastic sheet on the bottom side of the lid, and tapped the top also to make it air tight.

This kit is so easy. I'm only 9 days in & I already have some mycelium growth. Definitely recommend ordering the temperature controller as well. I struggled the first few days with big temperature fluctuations, but now it stays within a degree.

It arrived promptly but I got no paperwork on how to set up my new grow tub or do anything for that matter. I hope I can figure it out

I first ordered this kit 10 years ago and it produced mushrooms over and over again. I'm now on my fourth kit from Midwest and I've never been disappointed. 12 jars or 2 spawn bags make a perfect fit. Extremely well put together and super easy to setup. This last batch only took 4 weeks from inoculation to produce pickable mushrooms.
