I used their grow kit once before and every container but one produced. They have a great video on how to prepare jars and I skipped a step on one. I am sure that was the one that went bad.

I purchased 36 of these substrate jars. 2 were received broken... no biggy. So far I inoculated 34 jars with the "John Allen" strain. About 8 have little growth and 1got tossed due to green mold contamination (probably my fault as I flew as quickly as I could to inoculate them in my kitchen.. not very sterile! But the rest of the jars are showing excellent mycelium growth at 80 degrees F. So far really impressed as I have made my own cakes in the past and it was a pain! This is well worth the money.

I have to say that Midwest is the only site I will use. The jars colonize perfect every time and I've still never had any contamination issues. I used standard shipping and it was at my door to in literally four days(I'm in AZ). Great work guys look forward to my next order!
