Pros:
  • Good value
  • Less struggle as a begginer
Cons:
  • Found the FAQs to be weak.
  • Learned on my own.
I received my kit a few days ago, set it up and had trouble with temperature control and humidity. If you have already done research it is about finding the right spot.

I will mention some things I learned about getting the controls right for temp and humidity.

I live in South Louisiana, so humidity is a way of life here 10 months out of the year. So is temp. I set in in my sunroom for the indirect light but could not keep the temp lower than 70 because of the ambient light from the windows although I have a pretty big AC unit out there. This also seemed to lower the humidity because I had to run the air so low it blew constanly.

Confession, I bought the drip tray but did not install the tarp underneath. Big mistake!

Secondly, I later found the black hose was plugged. Maybe from manufacturing or storage... idk.

Moved it inside where I still have direct sunlight, hose unplugged and air on about 72 in that area. I am now able to maintain himidity at about 97% and temp around 65.

I have seen people complain about the jar and humidity. Check your hoses. Don't use distilled water like they suggest you don't. It is large enough to gain the above 90% range in less than an hour if it is working correctly. The holes need to be sealed after sticking the hoses in the jar. I used duct tape in a pinch but will seal them better. Plan on getting a larger jar.

Hope this helps someone!

Pros:
  • comprehensive
  • value
  • easy
Cons:
I got this up and running in a matter of hours spread over a few days. It's amazing. Had to get a power strip to accommodate all the power needs. I think for everything included it's a great price. I had a few grow bags I got online and they fruited like crazy in this kit. My heat bulb broke when I put it in the socket, but Midwest Grow Kits is replacing it for me. Very helpful customer support. Glad I pulled the plug and bought this kit!
