Normal substrate jars are very good, but the 5 grain mix blows them away. You can't go wrong with either, but if you want faster colonization these are the ticket. I admit I did not innoculate with the oven or glovebox methods. I used alcohol and that's it. IveI, so far, have 100% down rate with no contaimina. However, follow recommended methods Midwest recommends better safe than sorry. Well worth the cost. These guys make cultivation way easier.
