How does a flowhood work with mushroom growing?

This model is a horizontal flowhood which creates a low velocity air flow that blows toward you. This air is super filtered and is 99.99% sterile. It can be used in any environment for many different things. The sterile moving air allows you to work in the space and open up substrate jars, bags, transfers, make spore syringes, work with agar plates and much more. If you ever experienced mold from inoculations, this will eliminate that.

Very happy with this flow hod, perfect for beginners like myself, works perfect.

    It works!

    Pros:
    • Simple set up
    • compact
    • works great
    Cons:
The flow hood shipped in a timely manner and arrived undamaged. I’ve never owned one before but it works as expected. I’m finally able to effectively inoculate Petri dishes and do agar to liquid culture transfers with confidence, and obviously inoculate my sawdust bags with grains with ease. So far I have had 0 contamination and am very happy with this product. If you don’t want to commit to a gigantic flow hood for you home grow operation , this product is perfect. My ONLY complaint is that it came with a different fan than pictured in the instructions so I was initially confused as to how to assembly but with a little thinking I figured it out.

    Excellent affordable flow hood

    Pros:
    Cons:
Terrific deal, free shipping, even able to place a 13" x 9" x 2" high cake pan (for grass lovers) in across the front of the flow hood, can transfer grain from a jar directly into the 13" length of cake pan along front of hood,
as the flow hood is the perfect length sideways for this (13.75"), so no need to ever buy a super expensive 24" side ways length flow hood which costs twice as much with shipping. I've had zero contamination issues, I did however add a piece of 13.5" velcro "hook and loop" tape (see pic) along each edge of the two acrylic side sheets that direct air flow, this allows me to easily
remove the sides if I ever need to store the flow hood away, and the acrylic sides attach extremely well to the sides of flow hood, imho better than the 4 pieces of double sided tape that
come with kit. I can't thank you enough, 11 out of 10.

Very happy with this purchase! Since using this flowhood I've had ZERO contamination. It's worth the money, $500 is a lot for me but I'm so glad I pulled the trigger and finally bought one. If you care about mycology and want to quit gambling with contamination then get a flowhood!
