The top is a little flimsy, but the base does hold 10lbs of materials without bending or flexing too much. I ran painters tape to secure the top to base during the first phase (no fresh air exchange). It's building up moisture nicely on the walls and top of the lid, and the mycelium has taken over about 25% of the surface in a week. I will be interested in seeing how well the vents on top work when it comes time for FAE. I plan on putting micropore tape over the vent holes when I do open it up.
A super simple and ultra affordable option for bulk growing. Bought one to try and worked so well I bought two more.
The first one had a hole in the bottom. I emailed customer support and they had a new bottom on its way. This isn't a sturdy thing. But if your green house goes down this can save your butt! Just have a towel under it to absorb the excess moisture that runs down the side and leaks from the top to bottom connection. Once u take care of that it worked great.
Had my 1/2 pint BRF jars in a shotgun fruiting chamber I made with perlite and living in Colorado, its very dry here. The shotgun chamber dried out my cakes! I read that this style dome works awesome for keeping humidity high while providing air exchange. I've bought many things from you guys in the past and was excited to see you carry these now. This model is very durable compared to one I bought on Amazon for more money!! Works great for fruiting jars with perlite and next I will try a bulk grow!
I ordered two and got two! The bottom tray is sturdy as described, but the lid is a bit flimsy. Still very happy for the price.
