The Ecosphere 3.0 is an amazing kit for the home fungophile whether you are just getting started or looking to expand your growing capabilities. Add the package with jars, spawn bags, casing mix, and vermiculite and you have basically all the supplies you need to get started with your spores. The Ecosphere itself works perfectly and is high quality. The thermostat, lava rock heater, led lights, humidifier, hygrometer plus the greenhouse tent is a perfect setup for a closet (see pic). It is really easy to put together and the instructions are very helpful. As you can see, I just harvested my first flush of blue oysters! I started the colonization using a Midwest spawn bag I'd already had and the bulk casing in a monotub and then the Ecosphere 3.0 arrived making it really easy to transition the tub for fruiting. All the jars and bags that came with the kit are in perfect order. Thanks Midwest Organics!!
Over all I am very happy with this grow kit. The set up was easy, and I have grown several batches of mushrooms in it already. Using this product makes growing mushroom's much easier and less work seeing as it takes worrying about tempter and humidity less of an issue, also you don't have to mist the spawn blocks. My only issue was during shipping 4 spawn jars were broken, and the heat lamp was also damaged. This issue was not the suppliers fault, but the shippers. But seeing as I am just starting growing mushrooms as a hobby it is not a real issue because I am not growing a lot at this time. I want to gain more experience before I fill the Ecosphere with a lot of mushrooms.
This is my first venture into mushroom growing and I couldn’t have done it without the help from MWG. There were hours poured into researching other platforms which help you gain invaluable knowledge but MWG takes the guess work out with their simple and easy to use kits.
