Been using jars and spawn bags from Midwest for years now and I'll tell you what, these drying kits work great because you can re-use the stuff over and over. I have had this big one for 8 months now and still havent replaced the dessicant. I would always advise to let them air dry for first 24 hours and then put them in this kit. One tip I learned: The lid does not create a 100% air tight barrier, so I just put a layer of saran wrap over the top and then put the lid on that. It helps seal it and it works faster that way! A++

This company is fantastic! I had a minor issue with a product I purchased and contacted the company. Three days later, a replacement product was on my doorstep. My mushrooms are growing fabulously! They are a bit ahead of schedule, and it appears there will be a lush crop soon. The grow bags are so convenient and easy to use, and the provided instructions and links were beyond adequate to teach a beginner how to grow mushrooms. The drying kit was exactly as expected and arrived in a timely manner. I can't wait until my mushrooms are grown and ready for drying. Very impressive!
