Faster than 5 grain, no contamination in the spawn bags...but the liquid culture is hit or miss.

These rye bags were well worth the price! I started my mushroom journey with jars and had limited success... I moved to substrate bags from a different vendor and after moisture ratio was too low, my mycelium was not thriving. I made my own rye substrate for a while but it was too time consuming and to me was not worth the effort.. I then found these bags and they were perfect! I had a strong mycelium without any contamination in no time! Will definitely buy again, in fact I’m actually shopping for more while writing this review! Great job guys! You keep mycology fun and easy!

I wanted to post a review after ordering from 2 other Shroom supply companies in the past 6 months (even places recommended to me on Shroomery) I used spores that previously worked great in jars. Both sets from two different companies (who I will not mention, to be polite) did not do anything. Too dry or too wet! I decided to try one more time with Midwest this time and with Express shipping option I literally received them 2 days after my order. I Immediately noticed they were rolled tighter than other companies and the grain appeared little dry but I also saw some water droplets. I injected the same 5cc's of spores, and FINALLY 6 days later I have nice 2" round spots that are growing fast! Thank god!! I am so impressed by these I could cry! Thank-you Midwest and honestly you guys are the lowest price too!Go Figure!
