I dont know if you care, but I have been buying these bags from you for literally 5 years! Check it out - I am super happy with them and always have great results with bulk grows. I have noticed with Rye in general and maybe this applies to alot of other products is the colonization times really vary based on what STRAIN/SPORE COMPANY are used. I have tried many different strains and many different spore vendors. Ive done my research and many spore vendors buy cheap syringes imported from Thailand for a few bucks each and are just very unreliable. From years of trial and error Ive concluded that some strains just will not germinate or take forever to colonize and others will take off right away. So my advice and reason for the post is to advise people on what to NOT buy for spawn bags: Avoid almost all spores from SPORESTORE, SPORES101, SPOREDEPOT, MIRCROTECH, LILSHOP OF SPORES, SPOREBANK, SPORES101, SPORELAB. While spores from these vendors are fine in many cases and will work, I have done the research and you take the chance of nothing happening or growing a bacteria infection. Why risk it and ruin your bags. Here is my list of spore vendors who sell and make their own syringes and do not over-clone them or sell sterile spores. (IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER) THE HAWKEYE, EARTHSTONGUE, SPOREWORKS, MUSHROOMS.COM, RALPHSTERSSPORES, MUSHCULT. stick with these vendors and you can choose whatever you would like. There are some re-seller vendors out there who sell expensive syringes and rare varieties. Dont waste the money on expensive spores, if one vendor is selling a strain that you've never heard of, chances are its just a made up name for a standard strain. Go with tried and true classics you see on all the sites.
