I guess I could have put this all together on my own and maybe saved a little bit but this got me up and growing quickly so I think it has been quite worth it. I priced things out and I would have spent a lot of time figuring out what to get and what worked with what. I added a controller for humidity but it really wasn't necessary. The humidity when I keep the water tray above the heat lamp full is > 90% so not a problem. I had a few components that failed but the customer service was exceptional. Really happy with the quick replacement of a fan that stopped working so I'm a happy customer.

Everything came promptly and well packaged. It included everything you need to get started. Looking forward to start my mycology journey.

Of the specific components, I would say there could be some improvements to say the humidity jar. The black hose should be just a tiny bit bigger in diameter to allow back flow incase moisture buildup.... otherwise even with no kinks it will start gurgling and sputtering drops of water all over my substrate, and no its not over filled with water.. but its perfect for the money ...
