I mixed the mycelium from the Premium Quick-Colonizing 5 grain jars with the Black Cow Casing mix. In two days I started to see white mycelium growing on top. The entire top of the casing mix was white in 7 days! This stuff is amazing! It's now been 15 days and I am starting to get many pins and several mushrooms growing. This casing mix is the best on the market. I will buy nothing else in the future.

I normally purchase the horse manure substrate from Midwest grow. I've had very good results with it. This grow, I decided to give the black cow a try. This was for mycology project, and wanted to see if there were any unique or notable differences.

I will say the product arrived 100% perfect condition

Moisture content was feild quality ,not overly moist, but certainly plenty of moisture content. So far, I'm seeing very fast colonization, edge to edge coverage... so in the early stages, it's looking promising. I have had other grows end up getting contamination, which we all know is disappointing. But so far the Black cow sub is performing very well. It's tough to tell early on, once pinning starts, that's generally when I'll know how the substrate is doing. All in all Midwest Grow products are really great. Fast shipping, properly packed and quality every time. They truly are my go to company for all things for growing various Mushrooms. Not to mention, it saves so much time and effort to making your own CVG, I can't imagine why anyone would want to do all that work... try some today, you will see, it's worth the cost, great results, and is very consistently great stuff..

Just 4 days after mixing, left a good inch on top, already coming thru.. unbelievable.. no smell too. Good aged poop shouldn't smell. This stuff is gold..

 

This casing mix is FAR above anything else out there! I've purchased from OutGrow, Amazon, Shroom Supply and Ebay sellers over the last 2 years and Midwest's casing just is amazing! I see growth faster, zero contamination issues, its packed professioanlly and the moisture content is spot on. 10 stars if I could. I literally ONLY buy this stuff.
